Purpose-Built Performance.
Under the hood, the 2024 Prius features a 5th generation hybrid powertrain built around a 2.0L Atkinson Cycle four-cylinder engine, motor-generator system, and electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. This delivers 196 system horsepower and a 0-100 km/h time of 7.2 seconds.
The electronic on-demand AWD system – standard on all models – uses a motor to drive the rear wheels. This contributes to driving stability under a range of road and weather conditions, while contributing to efficiency.
The 2024 Prius achieves an impressive fuel efficiency rating of 4.8L/100km city/highway combined.
The 2024 Prius features three responsive modes. Choose from NORMAL, ECO mode that enables finer accelerator control and enhanced fuel economy, and SPORT mode for enhanced throttle responsiveness.

Hybrid Battery and Warranty
Over 98% of the Toyota & Lexus hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) sold in Canada since 2001 have never had their original battery replaced. All hybrid components are backed by an 8-year or 160,000 KM warranty. Starting with 2020 model year HEVs, hybrid batteries are now covered by an extended warranty – 10-years or 240,000 KM, whichever comes first.
