The 2023 GR Corolla will set your pulse racing, and take your breath away.
The first-ever 2023 GR Corolla was engineered by Toyota GAZOO Racing's team and is inspired by Toyota's legendary history in racing and rallying events. This 3rd model in the GR-line is powered by an all-new 1.6 L three-cylinder Turbo engine and boasts the GR-FOUR All-Wheel-Drive system, Toyota's first sports all-wheel-drive system in more than 20 years. The 2023 GR Corolla will take your breath away.
Fun to drive and easy to love.
The wide stance and broad hatch exterior design of the 2023 GR Corolla projects a strong, attack ready style with its black GR badged functional matrix grill. At the rear, it features a rear lower bumper cover with functional air vents. The wide track and flaring of the rear fenders emphasize the car’s wide and low silhouette. The 2023 GR Corolla Circuit Edition has enhanced aerodynamics including a carbon fiber roof and a vented hood bulge.
The design of the 2023 GR Corolla’s interior reflects the car’s performance, particularly around the driver’s cockpit. Incorporating the feedback of professional drivers, a GR Full TFT meter was newly developed with a 12.3-inch colour Multi-Information Display (MID) that has a GR meter with 4WD mode, gear position indicator, tachometer and turbo pressure. The brightly lit display is designed for easy viewing in any condition and even features a start-up GR animation. The shift lever has a shortened stroke for a quick throw between gears. Positioned where the driver’s arm is naturally lowered from steering, the action is light with short shift strokes, adding to the performance quality.
Staying true to its rally-racing roots.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has assembled a team of highly skilled technicians, leveraging their expertise in high-performance motorsports engineering to build GR vehicles. That expertise is most apparent under the hood, where the 2023 GR Corolla introduces Toyota’s tuning, rally, and race fans to an all-new G16E-GTS engine: A 1.6L Turbo three-cylinder that delivers 300 peak horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This is mated to a six-speed intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) with a short-throw shifter and moderately tuned clutch to keep drivers engaged with hands-on thrills while delivering an estimated 0-100 km/h acceleration time of less than five seconds.
This powertrain delivers its output to the GR-FOUR All-Wheel-Drive system that delivers exceptional levels of traction and control with engineering designed to optimize drive power to each wheel, while remaining simple and lightweight. Drivers can quickly and seamlessly adjust the GR FOUR system to match a variety of road conditions and driving styles – deploying 60-40, 50-50, or 30-70 torque distribution to the front and rear wheels.
The front suspension is a MacPherson-type strut design that offers both light weight and firm handling, maximizing the tires’ grip potential. Made up of circuit-tuned coil springs, monotube shock absorbers and stabilizer bars, the front suspension is designed to deliver all the engine’s power to the road and provide optimum cornering capability on all surfaces. The rear suspension uses a double wishbone type multilink system that accommodates the AWD system’s goal of maximum agility and stability.
The 2023 GR Corolla fuel efficiency estimates are of 11.1/8.3/9.8 L/100 km (City/highway/combined)
All 2023 GR Corollas feature the all-new, North American developed Toyota Multimedia system. Featuring an 8-inch touchscreen display and 6-speaker audio system, the Toyota Multimedia system offers an improved user experience and a wide range of enhanced connectivity and convenience features, including being Over-the-Air (OTA) updatable. Users can also interact with the system through intuitive touch and voice activation controls. The new Toyota Multimedia allows for simultaneous dual Bluetooth® phone connectivity and supports standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM capability.
The 2023 GR Corolla also offers a host of available Connected Services like Service Connect (up to 10-yr trial) and Safety Connect (up to 10-yr trial), or available Remote Connect and Drive Connect.
Drive with peace of mind.

Its safety technologies include: Automatic High Beams, Lane Tracing Assist with Enhanced Line & Road Recognition, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Road Edge Detection, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian (Daytime & Low-Light) & Daytime Bicycle Detection, Intersection Support & Emergency Steering Assist, and Full Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management.
In addition to the TSS 3.0 system, other standard safety features on the GR Corolla include Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), which is designed to help detect and warn you of vehicles approaching or positioned in the adjacent lanes, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) for added peace of mind by helping to detect vehicles approaching from either side while backing out and alerting you with a visual and audible warning. Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) also comes standard.
2023 GR Corolla MORIZO Edition.
Toyota GAZOO Racing Team took the 2023 GR Corolla to the garage to figure out how to add power, reduce weight and enhance handling - all while keeping an eye on building a car that's ready to jump from the street to the track. They came away with a GR Corolla that can carry only one name : GR Corolla MORIZO Edition, named for GR Master Driver and Toyota President Akio Toyoda. This track-oriented version of the GR Corolla was designed to meet specifications desired by Toyoda himself, with a high power-to-weight ratio, tight handling and a highly rigid body. Only 10 numbered units will be produced in Canada for model year 2023.
GR Engineers removed about 50 kg of weight versus the GR Corolla Circuit Edition model. Primary weight reduction came from the removal of the rear seats, a carbon-fibre roof (also used on the GR Corolla Circuit Edition) and forged wheels. The two-seater design also allowed for additional weight removal in the rear, with no rear door speakers or rear window regulator, even the rear wiper blade and motor were pulled to save every gram.
MORIZO Edition exclusive specs like close gear ratio transmission, shorter differential gears, forged wheels, stiffened chassis, front brake ducts, mono-tube shock absorbers, Ultrasuede® trimmed seating and cabin features, and wider, high performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for maximum control.
