The Dynamic Force 2.5 litre in-line four-cylinder engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission generates 203 horsepower. Front wheel drive models achieve a combined city/highway fuel efficiency rating of 7.9L/100km while all-wheel-drive editions fare almost as well, at 8.2L/100km.
The 2022 RAV4 offers the necessary towing strength and power to take on whatever your day has in store. For bigger hauls, the RAV4 Trail and TRD Off-Road have the power and torque to tow up to 1,588 kg (3,500 lb).

The 2022 RAV4 features a long list of standard safety systems, starting with Toyota Safety SenseTM (TSS) 2.0, a bundle of active safety technologies that helps keep you - and those around you - as safe as possible. The 2022 RAV4 Trail is an all-wheel-drive model designed for adventure beyond the pavement. Starting with the XLE trim level, this model adds many trail-ready features – including bridge-type roof rails, 19” TRAIL alloy wheels, a dynamic torque vectoring differential with rear driveline disconnect, LED fog lights, and a standard towing package that gives the vehicle a 1,588 kg (3,500 lb) towing capacity. This model is also finished with rugged styling, including large over-fenders, an aggressive grille, and special fog lamp surrounds.
2022 RAV4 TRD Off Road.
The 2022 RAV4 TRD Off Road is a limited edition all-wheel-drive model that features impressive off-roading capability. Built off the TRAIL edition, this model adds 18” TRD alloy wheels clad in Falken all-terrain tires and an off-road tuned suspension. Other upgrades include heated and ventilated front seats, Softex upholstery, an 11-speaker JBL Audio system with Clari-Fi and a 9” touchscreen display, Connected Services by Toyota Premium Audio Plus with Remote & Nav, and an alarm system with engine immobilizer. Finally, this model advertises its authentic off-roading capabilities with TRD seat decoration, badging, and floor mats, and is also offered in a bold new colour called Cavalry Blue.
