For the 2026 Corolla and Corolla Hybrid, Toyota designers created a stylish body that expresses its low centre of gravity through perfectly proportioned curves and a well-planted, athletic stance. Design details to note include a distinctive grille, J-shaped bi-beam LED headlamps, and wheels pushed to the corners. The Corolla L line exhibits elegant style, while the S series expresses Corolla’s sportier side with a wider honeycomb grille, dual tip exhaust, larger wheels, and rear lip spoiler. 18” Aluminum Alloy Wheels, Wireless Charger, and Sunroof are also available features.

Every Corolla features a comfortable cabin with impressive space for up to five adults, defined by details such as soft touch controls and premium materials, while the driver-focused cockpit features an instrument panel that’s cleverly shaped to enhance the driver’s field of view.

 

 

The Joy of the Ride

Six Corolla models are built around a gasoline powertrain featuring a 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine, Direct Shift CVT, and front wheel drive. This combination delivers 169 peak horsepower and up to 151 lb-ft of torque.

Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, the 2026 Corolla family features sleek styling and a low centre of gravity. Toyota engineers enhanced these natural sedan advantages with active cornering assist technologies, a rigid body structure, and carefully tuned suspensions. The result is a compact sedan that enjoys outstanding agility, impressive stability, and reduced noise and vibration. The Corolla S line models feature specially-tuned front and rear suspensions to give the driver a more connected road feel – all without sacrificing ride comfort.

The 2026 Corolla shows manufacturer-estimated fuel consumption of 7.4/5.7/6.7 L/100 km (City/highway/combined) on L and LE grades and of 7.6/5.9/6.8 L/100 km (City/highway/combined) on SE and XSE grades.

 

 

2026 Corolla Hybrid

Four Corolla Hybrid models feature Toyota’s popular and proven hybrid technology. This system is built around a 1.8L Atkinson Cycle inline four-cylinder engine, an electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission, high-torque electric motor-generator system, and Lithium-Ion storage battery. The Corolla Hybrid’s powertrain generates 138 system horsepower while achieving incredible fuel efficiency – rated as low as 4.7L / 100km city/highway combined.

The electronically controlled CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is cleverly designed to give you the smooth, fuel-efficient performance of a CVT with the more direct driving feel of traditional geared automatic transmission.

Corolla Hybrid AWD models are fitted with Toyota’s electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive system, which uses separate, rear-mounted electric motors to power the rear wheels when needed for added driving confidence in any weather.

 
 

 

Enhanced connectivity and convenience

The 2026 Corolla features the 8” Toyota Multimedia system as standard on every model (10.5” on XSE models). The system integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota Multimedia features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice.

Every 2026 Corolla and Corolla Hybrid comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest configuration of Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies. Its safety technologies includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian (Daytime & Low-Light) & Daytime Bicycle Detection, Intersection Support & Emergency Steering Assist, Full Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Road Edge Detection, Lane Tracing Assist with Enhanced Line & Road Recognition, and Automatic High Beams.
