Explore the 2026 bZ
Toyota continues to move its electrified vehicle portfolio forward by announcing its 2026 bZ Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). With its modern styling and impressive performance, it’s the BEV that makes sense for today’s lifestyles. For 2026, the Toyota bZ is better than ever, with more power, increased range, easier charging, and a long list of upgrades on all models.

Design Updates and Comfort Improvements
The upgrades for 2026 start with the name – shortened from bZ4X to bZ – and a refreshed exterior design. The new 2026 bZ remains true to its distinctive aesthetic, exhibiting original style that stands out from the crowd. With no need for a radiator and grille, the bZ features a low hood that maximizes forward visibility, enhanced for this year with subtle refinements to the front fascia and lighting elements. Slim LED accent lights integrate into the sleek, hammerhead front end. Redesigned front overfenders enhance the bZ’s curbside presence with newly available colour-matched molding. The side profile is balanced and sleek, with a long wheelbase, dynamic character lines, and a flowing silhouette. The rear emphasizes the bZ’s powerful stance while putting focus on the corners and tail lamps. Notable exterior features include auto-levelling LED headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, rain-, mist-, and moisture-sensing wipers with deicers, and power-adjustable and heated exterior mirrors with puddle lights.
Inside, the 2026 bZ features an extra-wide interior that welcomes up to five adults to a spacious, relaxing, and quiet cabin. Comfort is assured – with legroom equivalent to that in a large sedan for all passengers, as well as copious side-to-side space in the rear seat. Meantime, stowing the 60/40 split folding rear seat, the bZ can hold an impressive amount of cargo. Premium finishes and soft-touch materials elevate the style and comfort. All models are equipped with a long list of standard features – including dual-zone automatic climate control with an automatic air circulation control system, and a heated, Softex-trimmed steering wheel. To enhance the cabin, every bZ is fitted with a 64-colour, customizable ambient lighting system.

Fun to drive
While Toyota designers refined the exterior and interior styling, Toyota engineers enhanced performance, range, and charging – making the new bZ even more fun to drive and more practical for every journey.
The upgrades start with a larger lithium-ion battery for the all-wheel-drive models, featuring a higher total capacity of up to 77 kWh. This boosts the manufacturer-estimated range by up to 25 percent, to 468 kilometers between charges for the XLE AWD grade. Limited models now feature a 436-kilometer range, while the XLE front-wheel-drive model features a 57.7-kWh battery for a 380-kilometer range.
Toyota engineers also upgraded the bZ’s eAxles. These compact, lightweight, and energy-efficient components now use silicon carbide semiconductors to help deliver high power output. For AWD models, output increases by 50 percent to 338 combined system horsepower (hp), enabling the bZ AWD models to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 5.1 seconds. New steering wheel-mounted paddle shifter-style controls activate and adjust regenerative braking to tailor the system to individual driving preferences.
All bZ all-wheel-drive grades feature the X-MODE system, which allows the driver to optimize power delivery and brake control depending on road conditions. Off-road performance is enhanced with Grip Control, which modulates power to minimize slipping on rough surfaces.

2026 bZ Woodland
Toyota announces a new, rugged addition to its Battery-Electric Vehicle (BEV) lineup with the first-ever 2026 bZ Woodland. Equipped with standard All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE, the bZ Woodland will have a highly capable combined system net output of 375 horsepower with a manufacturer-estimated all electric driving range rating of up-to 418 kilometres. It also brings midsize SUV utility, with 210 mm of ground clearance, generous rear cargo area, Panoramic View Monitor with Multi-Terrain Monitor, and 3,500-pound towing capacity.
The 2026 bZ Woodland will be available in a single, well-equipped grade. A Premium Package with JBL Premium Audio, a fixed glass panoramic roof, digital rearview mirror, ventilated front seats and memory driver seat/side view mirrors, and optional All-Terrain tires will also be available.
The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland is expected to go on sale at your St-Hubert Toyota dealer in early 2026.

Simple, Flexible EV Charging Options
For 2026, Toyota engineers fitted all bZ models with a North American Charging System (NACS) DC charging port, unlocking access to thousands of high-speed charging stations across the country. Under ideal conditions, when using DC fast charging, this system is capable of boosting the bZ from 10 percent to 80 percent battery charge in around 30 minutes. Other standard modes include Level One and Level Two AC charging with a higher capacity 11-kW onboard AC charger (up from a 7-kW charger on the previous generation models). All models are equipped with a dual-voltage charging cable plus a new battery pre-conditioning system and a battery thermal management system, which enable faster charging in colder conditions.
LEVEL 1: Standard
120-Volt AC Outlet (At Home Charging)
A great pick for drivers with short commutes. Under ideal conditions (external air temperature of 25 degrees Celsius), you can go from 10% (Low Battery Light) to 100% (fully charged) in about 50 hours.
LEVEL 2: Faster
240-Volt AC Outlet (At Home and Public Charging)
The best setup for faster charging at home. Under ideal conditions (external air temperature of 25 degrees Celsius) you can go from 10% (Low Battery Light) to 100% (fully charged) in about 5.5 hours (XLE FWD) or 7 hours (XLE AWD and LTD AWD)5. Can be installed at home by a licensed electrician. You can also find Level 2 chargers at public charging stations.
LEVEL 3: Fastest
480-Volt DCFC (Public Charging)
Under ideal conditions (external air temperature of 25 degrees Celsius with 150kW or above Level 3 DC Fast Charger), you can charge from 10% (Low Battery Light) to 80% in as quickly as 28 minutes although a number of variables will result in significantly longer charge times6. Level 3 DC Fast Charging currently only available at public charging stations.

Comfort and convenience at the centre of your experience
